Interceptor Plus

This prescription medication requires a current annual visit to a Penny Paws clinic. We also require a current annual heartworm test for canine medication containing heartworm preventive.

Interceptor® Plus is a once a month flavored tablet used for the prevention of heartworm disease and the control of roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms in dogs. Dogs should be tested for heartworm prior to use. This size of Interceptor® Plus is for dogs and puppies over 6 weeks of age weighing from 2-8 pounds.

Active Ingredients
milbemycin oxime, praziquantel

Side Effects:
There are very few side effects when the drug is given at the normal dose, but monitor your pet for vomiting, diarrhea, depression/lethargy, ataxia, anorexia, convulsions, weakness, and salivation. Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.

Interceptor® Plus should be given orally as directed by Penny Paws vets. Administer for heartworm prevention, give once monthly with food.
